This Privacy Policy describes how Dicock ("Dicock", "we", "us") collects, uses and discloses personal information when you visit dicock.in (the "Site"), enquire about our services, or engage us as a client.

dicock.in is an informational website for a design and marketing studio. It is not an online store. There are no products, no shopping cart, no checkout, no payments and no customer accounts on this Site. It runs no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party scripts of any kind.

Personal Information We Collect

We collect very little, and nearly all of it is information you actively choose to send us.

  • Enquiry details. The enquiry form on this Site does not transmit anything on its own. It assembles what you type — typically your name, the service you are interested in, your budget range and your message — into a WhatsApp message and opens it on your device. Nothing reaches us until you choose to send it.
  • Contact details you send us directly. If you message us on WhatsApp, email us, or call us, we receive whatever you include, which is usually your name, phone number, email address, business name and a description of what you need.
  • Client project information. If you engage us, we process the material you share so we can do the work: brand assets, copy, product information, and any account access you deliberately grant us for a platform we have been hired to build or manage on your behalf.
  • Technical log data. Our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested, including IP address, browser user-agent, the URL requested and a timestamp. These are used to keep the Site available and secure.

We do not collect payment card details on this Site, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data through it.

Cookies and Local Storage

This Site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, advertising or tracking technology.

The only item stored on your device is a single browser local-storage entry named dicock-theme, which remembers whether you chose the light or dark version of the Site. It stays in your browser, is never transmitted to us, and clearing your browser storage removes it.

How We Use Your Personal Information

  • To reply to your enquiry and discuss what you need.
  • To provide, deliver and support the services you engage us for, and to send project updates.
  • To issue invoices and to keep the business and tax records we are required to keep.
  • To operate, secure and troubleshoot the Site.
  • To comply with applicable law, and to establish or defend legal claims.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We disclose personal information only where it is necessary to run the studio:

  • Service providers who operate infrastructure on our behalf, principally our web hosting and email provider, and who process the information only in order to provide that service to us.
  • Platforms you ask us to work on. Where you engage us to build or manage something on a third-party platform, the information needed for that work is handled on that platform under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Professional advisers, such as our accountant, where required.
  • Legal authorities, where we are required to disclose by law or where disclosure is necessary to protect our rights.

Messaging Us on WhatsApp

The enquiry buttons on this Site open WhatsApp. Messages sent that way are carried and stored by WhatsApp, not by this Site, and are subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy in addition to this one. If you would prefer not to use WhatsApp, email us instead at inquiry@dicock.in.

Third Party Websites and Links

This Site links to client projects and to our social media profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and this Policy does not apply to them. Please review their policies before providing information to them.

Children's Data

The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the details below and we will delete it.

Security and Retention of Your Information

The Site is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of the conversation. Client project records and invoices are kept for as long as the engagement requires, and afterwards for the period Indian tax and accounting rules require.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, update or request deletion of the personal information we hold about you, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a regulator. In India these rights arise under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

International Transfers

We are based in India. Our hosting and email infrastructure may process information on servers located outside India, and where that happens we rely on the contractual safeguards offered by those providers.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above.
